TANAH LOT SUNSET TOUR

Three very different locations are highlighted in tour. Taman Ayun means "beautiful garden" at Mengwi. This temple was built in 1634 for the royal family and is arguably one of the most beautiful temples on the island.

Next stop is the monkey forest at Kedaton, whère over 500 monkeys of varying sizes inhabit the forest along with numerous fruit bats. Each of this monkey has its own personality, making this a great place to 'monkey watch' and see just who the big boss of the troupe is.

Finally, visit Tanah Lot Temple, a magnificent temple built on outcrop of rock, just off the coastline of west Bali. This very significant temple can only be accessed at low tide and despite being in the sea, it features a fresh water spring at the base which is said to be holy water.

People come from all over the island to drink the water and splash it over their bodies, said to cleanse any bad spirits from the body. At high tide waves thunder around the temple at sunset, the spray and sun weave mesmerizing rainbows, making it a stunning place to photograph.
